Rome, 16 September 2021 – Aspen Institute Italia, in partnership with EDISON, will be holding an Aspenia Talk on “Climate change: the COP26 challenge”.

The meeting will be held on the Zoom platform and is part of the ASPENIA TALKS series. Speakers at the meeting will include: Giulio Tremonti, Chairman, Aspen Institute Italia; Enrico Giovannini , Minister of Infrastructures and of Sustainable Mobility; Nicola Monti, Managing Director, Edison; Jill Morris, Her Britannic Majesty’s Ambassador to Italy and San Marino; David Livingston, Senior Advisor on Climate, US Department of State; Monica Frassoni, President, European Alliance to Save Energy.

Journalists interested in attending can register to follow the meeting via the link.

The debate will focus on the complex yet increasingly strategic issues on the agenda of the world’s political and economic leaders, such as the struggle against climate change and the role of technology for a more sustainable planet. The crucial progress made at the G-20 summit in Naples marks an important staging post along the way toward ensuring a strategic COP26 both at the important pre-summit due to be held in Milan and at the subsequent arena in Glasgow chaired jointly by Italy and the United Kingdom.
