The Community of Italian Talent Abroad (TIE), set up by Aspen Italia in 2009, comprises 182 members from 34 different countries. Members hold leading positions in such varied walks of life as corporate business, start-ups, the world of finance, academia, research, governmental institutions and the worlds of culture and sport.

Aspen’s aim in setting up the TIE Community was to provide a fertile humus for interaction between its members in Italy and leading Italians abroad on topical issues of interest, thus strengthening the potential synergy between those who work outside the country and businesses and institutions based in Italy.

The TIE Community has always played a particularly active role in providing input in terms of ideas and thoughts on issues of importance to the country. A permanent observatory entitled “New Jobs = New Training” was established in 2022 with a view to detecting developments and changes in work and training in some of the world’s more dynamic areas, also in an effort to anticipate future trends.

The observatory has a Steering Committee chaired by Antonio Ereditato and a network of correspondents who play an “antenna” role in various countries by passing on information, figures and analyses on trends taking place in their respective environments abroad.

Issues addressed at conferences and in research produced by the TIE Community include:
