        PRESS RELEASE

The New Organization of Labor and Corporate Choices

Rome, 14 October 2021 – Aspen Institute Italia, in partnership with ENEL, will be holding an Aspenia Talk on “The  post-Covid economic paradigm: the future of work and business” in digital mode. The panel will be held on the Zoom platform and will be open to the press.

The meeting is part of the ASPENIA TALKS series. Speakers at the meeting will include: Giulio Tremonti, Chairman, Aspen Institute Italia; Michele Crisostomo President, Enel;  Alberto Bombassei, Managing Director, Brembo, Vice-Chairman, Aspen Institute Italia; Guido Stratta, Director of People and Organization , Enel; Alberto Mattiacci, Professor of Economics and Business Management, Università La Sapienza, Rome; Francesca Giraudo, HR Director, MED Region HR Director, EY Italia SPA.

The debate will focus on the transformations under way in the organization of industry and the world of labor prompted by, among other things, the spread of remote working during the pandemic when working from home suddenly and substantively became a mass phenomenon. The organization of remote corporate processes has a considerable impact on both personal and collective productivity, as well as on the use of businesses’ physical resources, with office premises heading the list. The changes under way are also dictated by macro-trends which have been around for quite some time, starting with automation and digitalization, but which the pandemic has highlighted and accelerated. Digital technologies are a powerful lever for change and in that sense they have the potential to be part of an optimistic vision of the world’s future. Also, the post-pandemic resilience plans are an opportunity not to be wasted if we are to achieve the goal of a form of growth that is not only more sustained but also, indeed above all, more sustainable.
