        Policies, Costs and Funding for the Green Revolution in Europe and the United States

        Rome, 7 December 2020 – Aspen Institute Italia, in partnership with Enel, will be holding an Aspenia Talk on “A new Green Deal between Europe and the USA” in digital mode. The talk will he hosted on the Zoom platform.

        The meeting is part of the ASPENIA TALKS series. Speakers at the meeting will include: Paolo Gentiloni, European Commissioner for the Economy; Giulio Tremonti, Chairman, Aspen Institute Italia; Michele Crisostomo, President, Enel; Davide Livingston, Senior Fellow with the Atlantic Council; Laura Cozzi, Head of Energy Modeling Unit, IEA; Marisa Drew, Chief Sustainability Officer, Credit Suisse International.

        The debate will focus on the strategy required for the EU to become a geopolitical player in its own right and on the change of course impressed on Europe’s economic policy in terms of the energy transition toward a green economy and a greater focus on the struggle against climate change, with particular attention being paid to the funds earmarked in the Recovery Fund. A special focus will also be devoted to the upcoming strategic choices and imminent political decisions announced by the Biden Administration.
