Giuseppe Cattaneo first became a member of Aspen Institute Italia in 1994. The following year he was appointed Secretary General of the Institute, a position he held until 2007, when he was appointed Senior Advisor to the President.
With a degree in Economics from Milan’s Bocconi University, he began working at IBM in 1960. He held various managerial positions in the area of Personnel Management, eventually rising – in 1984 – to the position of Deputy General Manager for Personnel and Communications, IBM Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa.
A member of various prestigious boards of directors in Italy, Giuseppe was a connoisseur of the business world and human resources, as well as a lover of opera. His contributions to Aspen Italia’s growth were immeasurable, and he will be remembered for his professionalism, leadership, and warmth.
