Fashion Week trends – Ready-to-wear as an art form. Travels in Italy – As always, the foreign press was interested in tourist destinations as well as fashion. There was an article on Tuscany, where the New York Times proposed a weekend in Florence (September 24 – 36 Hours in Florence, Italy*) and the Washington Post discovered the secrets of olive oil ( September 18 –Travel: Olive oil in Paciano, Italy). Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal traveled to Rome to enjoy the charm and harmony of the home of Massimilano Fuksas (September 19 – Architect Massimiliano Fuksas on Home Sweet Rome).
