    Culture – This week, international news outlets are focusing on Italian culture: Le Monde takes its readers on a visit to the Académie de France hosted at Villa Medici in Rome, through photographs recounting the “unique locations of this palazzo” (November 5 – A Rome, nuit de rêve à la Villa Médicis). The French daily also visits Bologna for the Foto/Industria photo biennial (November 6 – Foto/Industria : à Bologne, la nourriture en images, gourmandes ou écœurantes).     In other cultural news, Financial Times interviews Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, a collector and “queen bee in the contemporary art scene in Italy and far beyond,” on the plan for a new museum for young artists on an “an abandoned Venetian island” (November 10 – Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo: ‘When I started collecting it was much less about social climbing’*), while Die Welt recounts the Caravaggio that garnered a record € 471 million at auction (November 10 – Was dieser Rekordpreis für einen Caravaggio bedeutet ).

    Lastly, coverage is also devoted to cooperation, with agreements signed between Italy and Algeria, in the fields of cultural education and culture during Italian President Sergio Mattarella’s visit to the African country (Xinhua, November 7 – Algeria, Italy to strengthen cooperation in various fields: joint statement).

    Tourism – The international dailies also propose a number of tourist itineraries.     Wine & Food – In wine & food, Les Echos publishes a profile/interview with Giuliano Sperandio, chef of the Parisian restaurant Le Taillevent  (November 9 – Giuliano Sperandio : la cuisine est un chemin de vie*), while Financial Times celebrates the life of the late restaurateur Ado Campeol, “the father of Tiramisu” (November 5 – Ado Campeol, restaurateur, 1927-2021*).
