The scientific press continued its intense interest in studies by Italian researchers. The articles published in July were – to a large extent – dedicated to onology (seven of 29 articles), but also included studies on obesity, vascular pathologies (three studies each) and pediatrics (two articles).
The articles on oncological studies published in Lancet Oncology and special supplements of Nature, British Journal of Cancer, Leukemia, and Oncogene and which involved 20 researchers, reported on discoveries on cancer and new cures to treat cancer patients.
The articles on cardiology and hypertension were published by journals in the field such as Hypertension Research (with a study on the effects of physical activity in the elderly which involved 10 researchers) and a journal on genetics, European Journal of Human Genetics, which published two studies on the genetic causes of heart defects (32 researchers).
Finally, there were two pediatric studies conducted by 13 researchers, published in Pedriatic Reasearch e sul Journal of Human Genetics, and three studies in the field of nutrition. A total of 28 researchers studied obesity and celiac disease with articles published in European Journal of Clinical Nutrion, American Journal of Gastroenterology and Obesity.
