Aspen Institute Italia supports the UNESCO OWSD Early Career Fellowship in 2022 program by funding a scholarship assigned to a young female scientist who has completed her doctorate (Ph.D.) in a STEM discipline (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) and works in a country with a scientific and technological lag (Science and Technology Lagging Countries-STLCs ) . Each Early Career Fellowship, worth $50,000, enables the young assignee scientist to conduct reasearch in her own country while continuing to stay up to date and connected to international academic, scientific and business organizations.
The scholarship supported by Aspen Institute Italia, together with other OWSD Early Career Fellowships, was assigned on 19 November 2022.
