In March, the majority of publications concentrated their reporting on Italian laboratories in the fields of Neurosciences and Physics.

The principal international scientific magazines (Science, Nature, PNAS-Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, National Science Review and Scientific Reports placed on the top 5 for scientific impact according to SCImago Journal Rank) included 13 studies dedicated to medicine published in PNAS and Scientific Reports, with particular attention placed on neuroscience. The studies in these fields were carried out with contributions from the Universities of Milan, Trento, Bologna, and Naples, and from the Scientific Institute for Research and Healthcare Mario Negri, in Milan, Neuromed, in Isernia, TIGEM, in Pozzuoli, and CNR, in Naples.

Still on the subject of medicine, Francesco Gatto, engineer and research doctor in Systems Biology talks to the Aspen website about the technology being developed by Elypta, a Swedish start-up working on molecular diagnostics for cancer.

Finally, regarding physics, we need to report 3 studies published in Scientific Reports and Nature, carried out by the Universities of Trieste and Calabria, and by INFN, in Trieste, the Italian National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, in Rome, and the Italian National Institute of Astrophysics.
