The scientific press dedicated more space on studies by Italian researchers. There were 39 articles published in August, an increase compared to previous months, particularly in the field of oncology. There were sixteen studies reported, involving 131 researchers in 52 centers. Most of the studies were found in the publication in the Nature group Leukemia, but articles were also published in The Lancet Oncology, British Journal of Cancer, Oncogene and The Pharmacogenomics Journal.
Along with studies in the field of oncology, a point of excellence in Italian medicine, there were numerous studies in genetics. Five studies were published in journals such as British Journal of Cancer, Nature Reviews Neurology, European Journal of Human Genetics, involving twenty-five researchers in five center. There were also two publications each for the fields of cardiology (in the American Journal of Hypertension with 14 researchers in two centers) and andrology. In this case, the studies, by eleven researchers in two centers, were published in the Asian Journal of Andrology and Nature Reviews Urology.
