Michele Camilli, an engineering graduate, is the winner of the first edition of the Scholarship. Created to honor the memory of Dr. Giuseppe \u201cBeppe\u201d Cattaneo (1933-2025), the scholarship aims to further the ethical values he promoted in his work at Aspen Institute Italia and at the Fondazione Collegio delle Universit\u00e0 Milanesi.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The scholarship, worth \u20ac30,000, is funded by Aspen Institute Italia and will be awarded every two years, on merit, to a student at the Collegio di Milano. The funds are to contribute to the achievement of a Master’s degree at Bocconi University, where Beppe Cattaneo graduated.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Michele Camilli, 21, born in Viterbo, graduated with honors in Industrial Production Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin. A student at the Collegio di Milano, he is currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program in Finance at Bocconi University. While at the Polytechnic University of Turin he also earned a double degree from Shannon University in Ireland and tutored in the computer science department. He has worked on improving vaccine production at a pharmaceutical company in Siena and is also a soccer referee.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt is with great satisfaction and gratitude that I receive this recognition. I hope now to continue my life and university career in the best possible way, confirming the positive impressions that led the committee to award me this prize,\u201d said Camilli. “I am convinced that both the Collegio di Milano and Bocconi University will motivate me to embark on a unique path of personal and professional growth, with enthusiasm and curiosity. I would like to sincerely thank Aspen Institute Italia for giving me this opportunity for development, discussion, and growth.\u201d<\/p>\n
