Italians in film and sports<\/strong> \u2013 Alongside successful entrepreneurs, international newspapers commemorate Valentina Cortese<\/strong>, the \u201cvital\u201d postwar actress who vied with Ingrid Bergman for an Oscar (July 10 in The New York Times<\/em> – Valentina Cortese, Italian Screen Diva, Dead at 96<\/a>; The Guardian<\/em> – Valentina Cortese obituary<\/a>).
