Economy <\/strong>\u2013 In the business stories dedicated to Italy, Financial Times c<\/em>overs the new, \u201cambitious\u201d growth plan of Generali, which has beaten its own targets (March 14 – Generali beats targets ahead<\/a> of aggressive growth plan<\/a>). The British daily also recounts the Advent group\u2019s \u20ac 1.85 billion investment in Cerved <\/strong>(Financial Times<\/em>, March 6 – PE group Advent in talks to buy Italy\u2019s Cerved<\/a> in \u20ac1.85bn deal<\/a>*). El Mundo<\/em>, on the other hand, devotes coverage to the successful entrepreneurial story of Chiara Ferragni <\/strong>who, from being a \u201cblogger for fun,\u201d has gone on to found a company with a turnover of 30 million (March 9 – Chiara Ferragni: “Empec\u00e9 un blog por diversi\u00f3n y ahora<\/a> facturo 30 millones”<\/a>)<\/p>\n

Culture <\/strong>\u2013 In culture, The Wall Street Journal <\/em>pays a visit to Florence and \u201cVerrocchio<\/strong>, Master of Leonardo,\u201d a \u201cglobal show\u201d that \u201chas been a long time coming,\u201d opening on March 9 at Palazzo Strozzi (March 8 – Teacher of the Old Masters<\/a>*), while Die Zeit <\/em>recounts Vasari<\/strong>\u2019s biography dedicated to the genius of Leonardo (March 13 – Das \u00fcberforderte Genie<\/a>). The New York Times, <\/em>on the other hand, reviews the new English translation of Arturo\u2019s Island<\/em>, a classic of Italian literature by Elsa Morante <\/strong>(March 11 – An Operatic Italian Classic Gets a Fresh Translation<\/a>*). Le Monde <\/em>also covers literature with a tribute to the writer Sandro Veronesi<\/strong>, on the occasion of the Paris Book Fair (March 14 – Sandro Veronesi : \u00ab Les noms, les mots ne sont jamais neutres : ils sont<\/a> m\u00e9moire, v\u0153u, destin ou tout cela \u00e0 la fois \u00bb<\/a>). Lastly, The New York Times Style Magazine <\/em>covers art, photographing the works on display at the Milan apartment of Caroline Corbett<\/strong>, \u201cthe curator championing a new generation of Italian artists (March 12 in – At Home With the Curator<\/a> Championing a New Generation of Italian Artist<\/a>*; Inside a Curator\u2019s Art-Filled Milanese<\/a> Apartment<\/a>*).<\/p>\n

Tourism <\/strong>\u2013 In tourism news, The Guardian <\/em>reports on the discovery, off the coast of Monopoli<\/strong>, of the Adriatic\u2019s first coral reef (March 11 – First coral reef in Italy discovered on Adriatic coast<\/a>), while Bloomberg <\/em>stays at Casa Maria Luigia<\/strong>, the hotel associated with Massimo Bottura\u2019s restaurant Osteria Francescana (March 7 – Eat, Drink, Sleep, Repeat: Chef-Owned Hotels Have the<\/a> Perfect Agenda<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Wine & Food <\/strong>\u2013 In Wine & Food, The New York Times <\/em>recommends a recipe in which wine takes centre stage in a pasta sauce (March 8 – This Pasta Gets Sauced<\/a>), while the German Boersen  Zeitung <\/em>stresses how Brunello di Montalcino <\/strong>continues to be \u201cone of the best wines in the world\u201d (March 13 – Der Brunello di Montalcino hat di Weinwelt erobert<\/a>*). And while Der Standard <\/em>recounts a dish in the tradition of Ravenna, veal involtini with pine nuts and pistachios, (March 12 – Involtini: Kalbsrouladen mit Pinienkernen und Pistazien<\/a>), Sueddeutsche Zeitung<\/em>, in its magazine, pays homage to limoncello, a \u201cwholly Italian liqueur\u201d (March 10 – Limoncello Zitronenlik\u00f6r<\/a>).<\/p>\n
