(November 7 in <em>Reuters<\/em>, &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-eurozone-banks-ecb\/italys-enria-wins-race-to-head-ecb-banking-watchdog-idUSKCN1NC1ZK\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Italy&#8217;s Enria wins race to head ECB banking watchdog<\/a>; and <em>Wall Street Journal<\/em> read &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/ecb-nominates-italian-economist-as-regions-top-banking-supervisor-1541609036?mod=searchresults&amp;page=1&amp;pos=4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ECB Nominates Italian Economist as Region\u2019s Top Banking Supervisor<\/a>). Other financial news dealt with a \u201cspirited\u201d aspect of the food industry with items in both the <em>Wall Street Journal<\/em> and <em>Reuters<\/em> talking about how <strong>Campari\u2019s<\/strong> Aperol has increased sales of their aperitifs (November 6 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/the-aperol-party-arrives-in-america-1541523870?mod=searchresults&amp;page=1&amp;pos=7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Aperol Party Arrives in America<\/a>; November 6 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/campari-results\/update-2-campari-toasts-aperol-success-as-third-quarter-sales-jump-idUSL8N1XH31K\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Campari toasts Aperol success as &nbsp;third-quarter sales jump<\/a>). However, <em>Le Monde<\/em>\u2019s focus was on <strong>Ferrero <\/strong>and the new Nutella based products that it hopes will boost sales on international markets (November 7 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lemonde.fr\/economie\/article\/2018\/11\/07\/ferrero-met-les-bouchees-doubles-dans-les-biscuits-avec-sa-marque-nutella_5379896_3234.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ferrero met les bouch\u00e9es doubles dans les biscuits avec sa marque Nutella<\/a>*).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Culture<\/strong> \u2013 Italian cinema was at the heart of cultural news this week. <em>Le Monde<\/em> and <em>Lib\u00e9ration<\/em> wrote about &#8216;Lazzaro Felice&#8217;, the third full length film to be directed by <strong>Alice Rohrwacher<\/strong> described as a mystic tale imbued with realism (November 7 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lemonde.fr\/cinema\/article\/2018\/11\/07\/heureux-comme-lazzaro-un-idiot-sur-la-voie-de-la-saintete_5379927_3476.html?xtmc=rohrwacher&amp;xtcr=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00abHeureux comme Lazzaro\u00bb : un idiot sur la voie de la saintet\u00e9<\/a>; November 6 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/next.liberation.fr\/cinema\/2018\/11\/06\/lazzaro-le-sieur-bonte_1690318\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00abLAZZARO\u00bb, LE SIEUR BONT\u00c9<\/a>). In the <em>Financial Times<\/em>, it was <strong>Luca Guadagnino <\/strong>who featured, following his return behind a movie camera with &#8216;Suspiria&#8217; (November 2 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/d1b598d0-db67-11e8-b173-ebef6ab1374a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Luca Guadagnino \u2014 from Call Me by Your Name to the ultra-violent Suspiria<\/a>), whilst the <em>Wall Street Journal <\/em>wrote about<em> <\/em>the TV adaptation of one of Elena Ferrante\u2019s books \u201cMy brilliant friend\u201d (November 7 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/elena-ferrantes-my-brilliant-friend-comes-to-hbo-1541603256?mod=searchresults&amp;page=1&amp;pos=5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elena Ferrante\u2019s \u2018My Brilliant Friend\u2019 Comes to HBO<\/a>). <em>The Guardian <\/em>however, ran an interview with the photographer <strong>Guido Guidi<\/strong>, the \u201cmodern maestro\u201d whose lens captures \u201cthe ordinary and the things taken for granted\u201d(November 5 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/artanddesign\/2018\/nov\/05\/guido-guidi-interview-photographs-suburban-italy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Guido Guidi: &#8216;Many times I&#8217;m not looking when I press the shutter&#8217;<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tourism and Food &amp; Drink <\/strong>\u2013 On tourism, <em>El Pa\u00eds <\/em>\u201clost itself in nature\u201d as it described a trekking or skiing holiday in the <strong>Trentino<\/strong> (November 3 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/elviajero.elpais.com\/elviajero\/2018\/11\/01\/actualidad\/1541076092_101975.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Propuestas para perderse (o encontrarse) en la naturaleza<\/a>), followed by another article that described the home of the architect <strong>Carlo Scarpa,<\/strong> nestling amongst hectares of vineyards not far from Bolzano that offers guests an opportunity to explore the art, design and architecture of Italy in the 60s (Novmeber 3 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/elpais.com\/elpais\/2018\/10\/29\/icon_design\/1540810722_045411.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">La inesperada casa entre vi\u00f1edos del arquitecto Carla Scarpa<\/a>).<br \/>It was another home, this time in <strong style=\"font-style: normal;\">Capri<\/strong>, that caught the eye of the <em style=\"font-weight: normal;\">New York Times<\/em>, noting that the island\u2019s real estate market had withstood the sector\u2019s ongoing national crisis but dedicating the entire article to a single, stunning Mediterranean style villa with a USD 4.4 million price tag (November 7 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2018\/11\/07\/realestate\/house-hunting-in-capri-italy.html\">House Hunting in \u2026 Italy<\/a>).
