Coffee Business<\/a>*; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/reuters\/2018\/10\/01\/business\/01reuters-mars-drinks-m-a-lavazza.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lavazza Swallows Mars Inc Coffee Business for Around $650 Million<\/a>; the <em>Washington Post<\/em> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/business\/lavazza-acquires-mars-inc-coffee-business\/2018\/10\/01\/30a7c9d0-c588-11e8-9c0f-2ffaf6d422aa_story.html?utm_term=.125162f34768\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lavazza acquires Mars Inc. coffee business<\/a>*; <em>Reuters<\/em> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-mars-drinks-m-a-lavazza\/lavazza-swallows-mars-inc-coffee-business-for-around-650-million-idUSKCN1MB2T4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lavazza swallows Mars Inc coffee business for around $650 million<\/a>).<br \/>Another company with growth on its horizons is <strong style=\"font-style: normal;\">EssilorLuxottica<\/strong>, born of the union between Italy\u2019s leading eyeglass company and the French sectorial giant, now ready to conquer a market with 2.5 billion potential clients (<em style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Le Monde<\/em>, October 2 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lemonde.fr\/economie\/article\/2018\/10\/02\/essilorluxottica-a-la-conquete-d-un-marche-de-2-5-milliards-de-clients_5363305_3234.html?xtmc=italie&amp;xtcr=14\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EssilorLuxottica \u00e0 la conqu\u00eate d\u2019un march\u00e9 de 2,5 milliards de clients<\/a>). As to the luxury sector, <em style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Bloomberg <\/em>wrote about <strong style=\"font-style: normal;\">Gucci\u2019s<\/strong> plan to win over the millenials (October 1 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2018-10-01\/millenials-love-luxury-and-their-spending-on-gucci-shows-it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Millennials Love Luxury and Their Spending on Gucci Shows It<\/a>*) and then it wrote how a few lucky <strong style=\"font-style: normal;\">Ferrari <\/strong>clients<strong style=\"font-style: normal;\"> <\/strong>are being rewarded for their custom with a very special prize (October 2 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2018-10-02\/ferrari-picks-499-lucky-clients-for-its-1-85-million-monza\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ferrari Picks 499 \u2018Lucky\u2019 Clients for Its $1.85 Million Monza<\/a>*). It was luxury electric style that featured in an article in <em style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Der Standard<\/em> about the new 2 million Euro \u201csupercar \u201cthat <strong style=\"font-style: normal;\">Pininfarina<\/strong> has in the pipeline (September 29 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/derstandard.at\/2000088331550\/Pininfarina-will-Elektro-Sportwagen-um-zwei-Millionen-Euro-bauen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pininfarina will Elektro-Sportwagen um zwei Millionen Euro bauen<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Culture<\/strong> \u2013 On Italian culture, <em>The Guardian<\/em> wrote about the rivalry between <strong>Mantegna <\/strong>and <strong>Bellini<\/strong> and the exhibition at London\u2019s National Gallery where their works are being shown together for the first time ever (September 28 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/artanddesign\/2018\/sep\/28\/renaissance-rivalry-of-mantegna-and-bellini\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brothers in art: the Renaissance rivalry of Mantegna and Bellini<\/a>). Meantime <em>El Mundo<\/em> was at the first retrospective of <strong>Luigi Ghirri<\/strong> to be mounted outside Italy &#8211; at the Museo Nacional Centro De Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid &#8211; describing the Italian photographer as a genius protagonist of a manifesto against snobbery (September 27 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elmundo.es\/metropoli\/arte\/2018\/09\/27\/5ba37a6722601d6a728b459b.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Luigi Ghirri: el genio que pudo ser<\/a>; October 1- <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elmundo.es\/cultura\/laesferadepapel\/2018\/10\/01\/5bacea33ca474133088b464b.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Luigi Ghirri: Un &#8216;manifiesto&#8217; contra el esnobismo<\/a>). Then <em>Le Monde<\/em> remembered the Italian composer <strong>Stelvio Cipriani<\/strong> who was responsible for the soundtracks of more than 250 movies (October 3 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lemonde.fr\/disparitions\/article\/2018\/10\/03\/le-musicien-stelvio-cipriani-est-mort_5363969_3382.html?xtmc=italie&amp;xtcr=7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Le musicien Stelvio Cipriani est mort<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tourism, Food &amp; Wine <\/strong>The <em>New York Times<\/em> was in Apulia to visit the luxurious <strong>Borgo Egnazia<\/strong> (September 28 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2018\/09\/28\/business\/sd-hotels-luxury.html\">An Italian Hotelier Mixes Opulence and Wellness (O.K., Plus More Opulence<\/a>*) whilst the same daily ran another article featuring a night out in <strong>Bologna <\/strong>and the \u201cmagic\u201d of <strong>Matera<\/strong> as part of it series on 52 places to visit in 2018 (October 2 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2018\/10\/02\/travel\/52-places-bologna-and-matera-italy.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The 52 Places Traveler: Two Versions of the Slow Life in Central and Southern Italy<\/a>*). The same American paper offered readers another piece with an Italian focus when writing about smoked \u201cburrata\u201d (October 1 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2018\/10\/01\/dining\/burrata-cheese-smoked.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">An Alert for Cheese Fanatics: Smoked Burrata<\/a>), whilst the <em>Washington Post<\/em> described how to take it easy on the island of <strong>Linosa<\/strong> (October 2 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/lifestyle\/travel\/on-tiny-linosa-its-easy-to-adopt-islands-relaxed-rhythms\/2018\/10\/02\/1bda91b8-c650-11e8-9c0f-2ffaf6d422aa_story.html?utm_term=.fb5302566da1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">On tiny Linosa, it\u2019s easy to adopt island\u2019s relaxed rhythms<\/a>*).
