The American press wrote about how luxury baked products by <strong>Princi<\/strong> will now be on sale in all new branches of Starbucks, starting with the one in Seattle (November 7 on <em>the<\/em> <em>Wall Street Journal<\/em> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/starbucks-to-open-princi-bakery-inside-seattle-roastery-1510041660\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Starbucks to Open Princi Bakery Inside Seattle Roastery<\/a>*; <em>Washington Post<\/em> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/news\/business\/wp\/2017\/11\/07\/starbucks-next-move-italian-restaurants\/?utm_term=.f865de3659dc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Starbucks\u2019 next move: Italian restaurants<\/a>*).<\/p>\n<p>Whilst <em>Les Echos<\/em> ran a story about the success currently enjoyed by leather goods specialist, <strong>Piquadro<\/strong> and its plans for new acquisitions (November 2 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lesechos.fr\/industrie-services\/mode-luxe\/030816140778-litalien-piquadro-success-story-de-la-maroquinerie-connectee-2126944.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">L&#8217;italien Piquadro, success story de la maroquinerie connect\u00e9e<\/a>*), <em>Bloomberg<\/em> chose to write about the partnership between <strong>Dolce&amp;Gabbana<\/strong> and the pasta brand, the <strong>Pastificio Di Martino<\/strong> that has led to a limited edition line of pasta (November 2 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2017-11-02\/dolce-gabbana-is-now-in-the-pasta-business\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dolce &amp; Gabbana Is Now in the Pasta Business<\/a><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">)<\/span>. The business and food and wine combo also featured this week following the recent death of <strong>Antonio Carluccio<\/strong>, often called the \u201cgodfather of Italian food in the United Kingdom\u201d who founded a highly successful chain of restaurants bearing his name: (November 8 on <em>The Guardian<\/em> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/lifeandstyle\/2017\/nov\/08\/chef-antonio-carluccio-dies-aged-80\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Italian chef Antonio Carluccio dies aged 80<\/a>; and <em>the<\/em> <em>Financial Times<\/em> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/0a2f8dec-c4a8-11e7-b2bb-322b2cb39656\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Antonio Carluccio, Italian restaurateur, dies at 80<\/a><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">)<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Style in the automobile sector was the focus of a review in the <em>Wall Street Journal<\/em> all about <strong>Alfa Romeo\u2019s <\/strong>Stelvio (November 2 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/2018-alfa-romeo-stelvio-the-worlds-prettiest-suv-1509640458\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio: The World\u2019s Best-Looking SUV?<\/a>*) whilst <em>Bloomberg<\/em> wrote about <strong>Lamborghini\u2019s<\/strong> new electric car (November 7 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2017-11-07\/lamborghini-terzo-millennio-concept-self-healing-electric-supercar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lamborghini Unveils a Self-Healing Electric Supercar<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Culture and tourism \u2013 <\/strong>Many articles combined cultural and tourism. France\u2019s <em>Liberation <\/em>suggested a trip to <strong>Bologna t<\/strong>o take in the 3rd edition of the photographic biennial, Foto\/Industria (November 3 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.liberation.fr\/voyages\/2017\/11\/03\/bologne-labeur-sur-la-ville_1607693\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bologne, labeur sur la ville<\/a>) but also featured <strong>Milan,<\/strong> in a write up on the \u201cextraordinary\u201d Caravaggio exhibition currently being held in the Palazzo Reale (November 6 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/next.liberation.fr\/arts\/2017\/11\/06\/caravage-au-bord-des-lames_1608215\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Caravage au bord des lames<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The Lombard capital was also the focus of an article in <em>El Pa\u00eds<\/em> about the <strong>Lucio Fontana <\/strong>exhibition at the Hangar Bicocca (November 7 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/elpais.com\/cultura\/2017\/11\/06\/babelia\/1509967705_605898.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Otra idea del tr\u00e1nsito<\/a>). It was the figurative arts and the Centre for Italian Modern Art in New York\u2019s SoHo neighborhood that interested however, a piece about De Chirico\u2019s younger brother <strong>Alberto Savino<\/strong> (<em>New York Times<\/em>, November 2 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2017\/11\/02\/arts\/design\/alberto-savinio-emerging-from-big-brothers-shadow.html?_r=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alberto Savinio: Emerging From Big Brother\u2019s Shadow<\/a>*).<\/p>\n<p>Other news, falling somewhere between culture and tourism, featured <strong>Palermo<\/strong>, described as \u201cthe jewel of the Mediterranean\u201d (<em>Washington Post, <\/em>November 6 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/lifestyle\/travel\/palermo-lives-up-to-the-italy-of-popular-imagination\/2017\/11\/06\/20cf27e0-c306-11e7-9922-4151f5ca6168_story.html?utm_term=.c14bda79d1ee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Palermo lives up to the Italy of popular imagination<\/a>*), whilst <strong>Lake Como<\/strong> was presented not only as a \u201cfashionable holiday destination\u201d, but also an \u201cidyllic\u201d place for rowing (<em>Financial Times<\/em>, November 5 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/propertylistings.ft.com\/propertynews\/italy\/5198-a-home-for-rowing-on-the-italian-lakes.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A home for rowing on the Italian lakes<\/a>*). <em>Le Monde<\/em> was in Trieste to write about the writer and translator <strong>Claudio Magris\u2019 <\/strong>Middle Europe (November 9 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lemonde.fr\/livres\/article\/2017\/11\/09\/claudio-magris-chasseur-de-traces_5212346_3260.html?xtmc=italie&amp;xtcr=4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Claudio Magris, chasseur de traces<\/a>*),whereas <em>Reuters<\/em> ran a piece on the \u201cquiet\u201d revolution underway in Assisi where the town council is aiming to reduce emissions by 40% by 2030 (November 6 &#8211;
