The <em>Financial Times<\/em> interviewed the new Rector of the Universit\u00e0 Bocconi, <strong>Gianmario Verona<\/strong>, exploring the importance of innovation and declaring that &#8211; according to the paper &#8211; the University is the Italian School of Business that has all the best contacts \u2013 (November 29 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/5477e424-afde-11e6-9c37-5787335499a0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bocconi chief\u2019s plans for Italy\u2019s best-connected business school<\/a>*). News about the internationalization of a few Italian businesses also took up a several column inches with<strong> Ferrero <\/strong>that is ready to close a deal that will expand its business in North American (<em>Reuters, <\/em>November 26 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/delacre-ma-ferrero-idUSL8N1DR090\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nutella maker Ferrero hopes to buy Delacre biscuits by mid-Dec<\/a> whilst in another article it was described&nbsp; the joint venture <strong>Yoox<\/strong> has just embarked on with the intention of breaking into the Middle East market (<em>Reuters, <\/em>November 28 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-ynap-mideast-idUSKBN13N0LT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Italy&#8217;s Yoox Net-A-Porter enters Middle East online luxury venture<\/a>). &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Another piece in <em style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Reuters <\/em>was all about the significant step forward that the <strong style=\"font-style: normal;\">Monza Grand Prix<\/strong> has taken now that it is to be included in the Formula 1 calendar (November 29 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-motor-f1-monza-idUSKBN13O202\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Monza finally signs new three-year contract<\/a><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">)<\/span> and <em style=\"font-weight: normal;\">the Guardian<\/em> chose to run a piece on Italian fashion blogger <strong style=\"font-style: normal;\">Chiara Ferragni<\/strong> who has successfully built a multi-million pound business (November 29 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/fashion\/2016\/nov\/29\/chiara-farragni-blogger-the-blonde-salad-socia-media-style-posts-multi-million-pound-business\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chiara Ferragni \u2013 how a \u2018crazy blogger\u2019 turned her life into a shop window<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong style=\"font-style: normal;\">Culture &amp; Science<\/strong> \u2013 Italian art featured in the <em style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Financial Times<\/em> when it described the return of works by <strong style=\"font-style: normal;\">Tancredi Parmeggiani<\/strong> to the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, the city so beloved by the artist (November 25 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/e9ef8c20-b176-11e6-9c37-5787335499a0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tancredi Parmeggianni at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection<\/a>*) whilst <em style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Washington Post<\/em> focused on the exhibition being held at the Palazzo Braschi in Rome featuring the work of <strong style=\"font-style: normal;\">Artemisia Gentileschi<\/strong> (November 29 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/entertainment\/museums\/rome-show-explores-painter-artemisia-gentileschis-art-life\/2016\/11\/29\/bd34e84e-b642-11e6-939c-91749443c5e5_story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rome show explores painter Artemisia Gentileschi\u2019s art, life<\/a>*). <em style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Le Monde<\/em> was at the Museo del Novecento in Florence to explore work by \u201cvisionary artist\u201d, <strong style=\"font-style: normal;\">Gaetano Pesce<\/strong> (November 30 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lemonde.fr\/m-design-deco\/article\/2016\/11\/30\/gaetano-pesce-designer-feministe_5040816_4497702.html?xtmc=italie&amp;xtcr=6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gaetano Pesce, designer f\u00e9ministe<\/a>). Italian literature also got a mention, this time in a review, published in the <em style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Sueddeutsche Zeitung<\/em> of <strong style=\"font-style: normal;\">Nicola<\/strong> <strong style=\"font-style: normal;\">Lagioia\u2019s<\/strong> latest novel, \u201cLa Ferocia\u201d (November 28 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sueddeutsche.de\/kultur\/italienische-literatur-die-tweets-der-toten-tochter-1.3264055\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Die Tweets der toten Tochter<\/a>) and last but not least, it was opera that featured in <em style=\"font-weight: normal;\">l&#8217;Orient le Jour<\/em> in a profile, written to coincide with the Festival of Beirut, of the Palermo born soloist <strong style=\"font-style: normal;\">Laura Giordano<\/strong> (December &#8211; 1 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lorientlejour.com\/article\/1021276\/laura-giordano-une-siciliana-vera-sacrement-rossinienne.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Laura Giordano, une \u00ab Siciliana vera \u00bb sacr\u00e9ment rossinienne<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>As to science the<em style=\"font-weight: normal;\"> Guardian<\/em> wrote about the importance of the Cassini probe to the <strong style=\"font-style: normal;\">Italian<\/strong> <strong style=\"font-style: normal;\">Space Agency<\/strong> as it gets ready to make its way through the rings that surround Saturn (November 29 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/science\/2016\/nov\/29\/cassini-spacecraft-to-begin-swansong-orbit-of-saturn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cassini spacecraft to begin swansong orbit of Saturn<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong style=\"font-style: normal;\">Lifestyle <\/strong>\u2013 Italian wines did well in articles about Italian lifestyle this week, with <em style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Les Echos<\/em> in Florence exploring the <strong style=\"font-style: normal;\">Villa San Michele<\/strong> which it described as one of the five most beautiful cellars in the world (November 24 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lesechos.fr\/serie-limitee\/art-de-vivre\/vins-spiritueux\/0211515933789-cinq-des-plus-belles-caves-a-vin-au-monde-2046155.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cinq des plus belles caves \u00e0 vin au monde<\/a>*) whilst the <em style=\"font-weight: normal;\">New York Times<\/em> reviewed one of the \u201cbest grapes\u201d from Piedmont, the Dolcetto (November 28 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2016\/11\/28\/dining\/wine-school-assignment-dolcetto.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Your Next Lesson: Dolcetto<\/a>). Another article in the same paper took a look at a craft beer from <strong style=\"font-style: normal;\">Norcia<\/strong> that may well provide the funding needed to rebuild the basilica so tragically destroyed in the recent earthquake (November 28 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/video\/international-home\/100000004791419\/beer-may-be-basilicas-salvation.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Beer May Be Basilica\u2019s Salvation<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;According to the <em style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Washington Post<\/em> it is Italian food and lifestyle that have made Italy famous for the number people who live beyond the age of 100, backing up the facts with the story of&nbsp; <strong style=\"font-style: normal;\">Emma Morano<\/strong>, the world\u2019s oldest living person (November 29 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/world\/europe\/worlds-oldest-living-person-celebrates-117th-birthday\/2016\/11\/29\/f9b982ca-b638-11e6-939c-91749443c5e5_story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">World\u2019s oldest living person celebrates 117th birthday<\/a>*) and similar articles ran in l<em style=\"font-weight: normal;\">es Echos<\/em> (November 29 &#8211;
