According to the <em>Financial Times, Bloomberg <\/em>and <em>Handelsblatt<\/em>,<strong> Enav<\/strong>, the first stock market listing following Brexit, proved successful, and they also underlined that it was an important test of&nbsp; investors\u2019 current attitude towards Italy (July 21 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/next.ft.com\/content\/b7f54dc8-4f82-11e6-8172-e39ecd3b86fc#axzz4Fag2L5E\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Italy air traffic control sale set to land \u20ac750m<\/a>*, July 26 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2016-07-26\/italy-s-enav-rises-12-percent-after-first-post-brexit-ipo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Italy\u2019s Enav Rises 12 Percent After First Post-Brexit IPO<\/a><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">;<\/span> July 26 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.handelsblatt.com\/finanzen\/maerkte\/ipo\/enav-boersengang-starkes-boersendebuet-der-italienischen-flugsicherung\/13930202.html\">Starkes B\u00f6rsendeb\u00fct der italienischen Flugsicherung<\/a>). <em>Reuters<\/em>, on the other hand, reported that the e-commerce giant, Amazon, is working on a plan to invest some 500 million Euros on the Italian market (July 21 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-amazon-italy-idUSKCN10134X\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amazon set to increase bet on Italy&#8217;s digital turnaround plan: sources<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Italians abroad<\/strong> \u2013 This week, Italians have featured in two interviews. <em>Les Echos<\/em> spoke to <strong>Stefano Scarpetta<\/strong> director for Employment, Labor and Social Affairs with the OCSE (July 26 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lesechos.fr\/economie-france\/social\/0211155990290-stefano-scarpetta-avec-la-robotisation-lenjeu-nest-pas-la-disparition-du-travail-mais-sa-transformation-2016883.php?vQ6pmxGxpLQj3DhU.99\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stefano Scarpetta : \u00abAvec la robotisation, l\u2019enjeu n\u2019est pas la disparition du travail mais sa transformation\u00bb<\/a>*), whilst <em>El Mundo<\/em> directed its attention towards <strong>Stefano Sannino, <\/strong>Italy\u2019s new ambassador in Madrid (July 23 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elmundo.es\/loc\/2016\/07\/23\/579227e8268e3e09588b460b.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">El nuevo embajador italiano: &#8220;La relaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s fuerte con Espa\u00f1a es mi marido&#8221;<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Food &amp; Drink<\/strong> \u2013 The foreign press never seems to \u201close its appetite\u201d for stories about Italian food and drink,&nbsp; with some articles this week detailing the best places to eat pizza and other traditional dishes in cities like Barcelona (<em>El Pa\u00eds,<\/em> July 22 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/cat.elpais.com\/cat\/2016\/07\/20\/cultura\/1469025820_032120.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cinc pizzes ben diferents a Barcelona<\/a>), or New York (<em>New York Times, <\/em>July 26 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2016\/07\/27\/dining\/pasquale-jones-review-little-italy.html?_r=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pasquale Jones Brings a Little Novelty to Little Italy<\/a>). However, the success being enjoyed by Eataly in the Big Apple is shown by the opening of its second shop there (<em>New York Times,<\/em> July 25 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2016\/07\/27\/dining\/eataly-nyc-downtown-world-trade-center.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eataly Expands in Manhattan to World Trade Center<\/a>*). <strong>Campari<\/strong> is also enjoying success in the US, with the brand\u2019s Aperol doing particularly well as a brunch-time drink (<em>Wall Street Journal<\/em>, July 25<strong> <\/strong>&#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/campari-targets-cool-brunch-sports-to-push-aperol-liqueur-1469463488\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Campari Targets \u2018Cool\u2019 Brunch Spots to Push Aperol Liqueur<\/a>*).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tourism<\/strong> \u2013 Yet more seasonal tourism news this week, with the <em>New York Times<\/em> publishing two articles<em> <\/em>one suggesting <strong>Parma<\/strong> as a worthy destination thanks to its well-deserved reputation for food that which might, after all, also whet one\u2019s appetite for art, music and history (July 21 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2016\/07\/21\/travel\/what-to-do-36-hours-parma-italy.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">36 Hours in Parma, Italy<\/a>*). The other focused on NaturArte, a project designed to attract yet more tourists, now underway in the village of <strong>Praiano, <\/strong>on the Amalfi Coast in Campania (July 20 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2016\/07\/21\/world\/europe\/amalfi-coast-italy-tourism.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">By the Sea Where the Sirens Called, an Italian Town Beckons Tourists With Art<\/a>*).<\/p>\n<p>Italy also featured quite heavily in the Spanish press this week, with three articles in <em>El Pa\u00eds<\/em> alone. It recommended hotels around <strong>Lake Como<\/strong> that can boast the most evocative swimming pools (July 26 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/elviajero.elpais.com\/elviajero\/2016\/07\/21\/actualidad\/1469110403_029313.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Las piscinas de hotel m\u00e1s alucinantes<\/a>).
