Tourism<\/strong> \u2013 Summer is coming and the foreign press published even more articles about Italy. Milan<\/strong> is still in the spotlight with events related to Expo 2015, such as the exhibition on Leonardo Da Vinci (El Mundo<\/em>, June 8 – La Mil\u00e1n de Leonardo<\/a>) and the opening of the Prada Foundation<\/strong>, a new space for contemporary art (Liberation<\/em>, June 8 – Prada, l\u2019art de se d\u00e9marquer<\/a>). Again in Northern Italy, the Financial Times<\/em> suggested a visit to the new cable car of Mont Blanc <\/strong>(June 5 – Travel updates: Italy, UK and the US<\/a>*) and to the Venaria Reale, outside Turin, where the jewelry of Gianmaria Buccellati<\/strong> is on show (June 5 – Exhibition marks the phases of Buccellati<\/a>), while El Pais<\/em> explored the great literary tradition of Trieste<\/strong> (June 8 – Trieste, la ciudad de perfil<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The New York Times<\/em> Magazine stopped in Tuscany <\/strong>to see how some Hollywood celebrities were celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Pellicano Hotel in Porto Ercole (June 8 – Celebrating Hotel Il Pellicano\u2019s 50th<\/a>), as did Die Welt <\/em>(June 7 – Italienisch f\u00fcr Anf\u00e4nger<\/a>), which reported on how the region, with its prestigious wines and luxurious country homes, is an attraction for foreign investors. El Mundo, <\/em>on the other hand, wrote about Rome and the project to restore the flooring of the Colisseum (June 5 – Italia aspira a reconstruir la arena del Coliseo en los pr\u00f3ximos cinco a\u00f1os<\/a>) and the Brazilian Valor Economico<\/em> suggested that its readers visit the Chiostro del Bramante<\/strong> which is hosting one of the most important exhibitions ever on Chagall (June 10 – Roma abriga uma das maiores mostras de Chagall<\/a>*). Finally, El Mundo, <\/em>visited Pietrabbondante in Abruzzo<\/strong>, to explore the relics of the ancient  Samnite culture (June 8 – El santuario de Pietrabbondante, la mejor huella de la cultura samnita<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Lifetyle<\/strong> \u2013 As usual, the foreign press showed its interest in Italian lifestyle. In the field of design and fashion, the Washington Post <\/em>reported on the ideas of Gucci\u2019s new creative director  Alessandro Michele<\/strong> (June 8 – New Gucci creative director puts on eclectic resort show<\/a>), while Le Monde<\/em> published an article on the creations of Italian-Brazilian designer Paula Cademartori<\/strong> (June 6 – Le totem de cuir de Paula Cademartori<\/a>*).<\/p>\n

El Pais<\/em> on the other hand interviewed Fabrizio Barozzi<\/strong>, who \u2013 together with his collegue Alberto Veiga \u2013 just won the Mies van der Rohe Prize of Architecture (June 8 – \u201cLa Rambla ya no es Barcelona, es una extensi\u00f3n del muelle de cruceros\u201d<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Turning to the world of cuisine,  Bloomberg<\/em> reported on the kosher certification obtained by  Parmigiano Reggiano<\/strong>. According to the press agency, this will be an important factor in its growth in the US  (June 8 –  Italian Parmigiano Reggiano Goes Kosher to Grab U.S. Market<\/a>). Also, the New York Times<\/em> gave its readers some suggestions for Italian food in Manhattan (June 7 – Coastal Italian Cuisine in an Unlikely Spo<\/a>t*) and the Washington Post<\/em>, recommended the Italian ice-cream of Gianluigi Dellaccio<\/strong> (June 8 – \u2018Hot\u2019 gelato: It\u2019s a thing, and it\u2019s pretty cool<\/a>).<\/p>\n

In its music section, the New York Times<\/em> reported on the return of Giorgio Moroder<\/strong>, Italian producer and DJ transplanted to America (June 5 – Giorgio Moroder, the Cat in the \u2019Stache, Comes Back<\/a>), and, reporting on cars, Expansion<\/em> did a test drive of the Ferrari<\/strong> 488 GTB, a car that made history (June 11 – Ferrari 488 GTB, \u00bfuna dura prueba de estr\u00e9s para tu coraz\u00f3n?<\/a>).<\/p>\n
