First, there is the display of the Shroud in Turin that has attracted the attention of papers such as the <em>New York Times<\/em> (April 19 &#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/aponline\/2015\/04\/19\/us\/ap-eu-travel-brief-italy-turin-shroud.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Turin Shroud Goes Back on Display for Faithful and Curious<\/a>*),&nbsp;<em>El Mundo<\/em>&nbsp;(April 19 &#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.elmundo.es\/internacional\/2015\/04\/20\/5533f36022601d70418b4571.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tur\u00edn exhibe el Santo Sudario<\/a>)&nbsp;<em>Le Monde<\/em>, (April 19 &#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lemonde.fr\/europe\/article\/2015\/04\/19\/un-million-de-personnes-attendues-a-l-exposition-du-suaire-de-turin_4618748_3214.html?xtmc=italie&amp;xtcr=26\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Un million de personnes attendues \u00e0 l&#8217;exposition du saint suaire \u00e0 Turin<\/a>; April 20 &#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lemonde.fr\/sciences\/article\/2014\/02\/24\/le-suaire-le-seisme-et-la-science_4372459_1650684.html?xtmc=italie&amp;xtcr=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Le suaire, le s\u00e9isme et la science<\/a>*). As these papers explain, the even could bring a million people to the Piedmond capital.<\/p>\n<p>But there is not only Turin. <em>Wall Street Journal&nbsp;<\/em>ran an article with suggestions for a classic visit to <strong>Venice<\/strong> (April 17 &#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/a-travel-guide-to-venice-italy-1429297757?KEYWORDS=italy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A Travel Guide to Venice, Italy<\/a>*), while <em>El Mundo <\/em>also visited the lagoon city<em>&nbsp;<\/em>(April 19 &#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.elmundo.es\/cronica\/2015\/04\/19\/55325304ca4741d2788b458e.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">La memoria del exterminio est\u00e1 en una isla de Venecia<\/a>) to discover the hidden treasures of<strong>&nbsp;San Lazzaro degli Armeni<\/strong>. <em>Liberation<\/em> also reported on islands with suggestions for visiting the five ideal destinations for a rest from Parisian life. For Italy, its choice fell on <strong>Elba<\/strong> with a journey in the footsteps of Napoleon (April 21 &#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.liberation.fr\/voyages\/2015\/04\/21\/cinq-iles-a-portee-de-reves_1256057\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&nbsp;Cinq \u00eeles \u00e0 port\u00e9e de r\u00eaves<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>There was also interest in art tourism, with the <em>New York Times<\/em> exploring the new headquarters of the <strong>Prada Foundation <\/strong>an exhibit hall that will open on May 9 (April 26 &#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/04\/26\/arts\/design\/the-prada-foundations-new-arts-complex-in-milan.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Prada Foundation\u2019s New Arts Complex in Milan<\/a>*). Together with the British <em>The Times<\/em>, the US paper went to <strong>Lake Iseo<\/strong>,<strong> <\/strong>where a water installation by the artist Christo will be created in June (<em>New York Times,&nbsp;<\/em>April 22 &#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com\/2015\/04\/22\/new-christo-work-to-temporarily-bridge-italys-lake-iseo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New Christo Work to Temporarily Bridge Italy\u2019s Lake Iseo<\/a>*;&nbsp;<em>The Times,<\/em>&nbsp;April 22 <em>&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;<\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thetimes.co.uk\/tto\/arts\/visualarts\/article4418328.ece\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Christo\u2019s latest miracle work &#8211; walking on water<\/a>*).<\/p>\n<p>Instead, <em>El Pais<\/em> visited&nbsp;<strong>Ferrara<\/strong>&nbsp;where it stopped to gaze on La&nbsp;<em>rosa di fuoco<\/em>. The Barcelona of Picasso and Gaud\u00ed\u201d, and exhibit dedicated to Catalan modernism (April 19 &#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/ccaa.elpais.com\/ccaa\/2015\/04\/18\/catalunya\/1429379249_213291.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">El modernisme \u2018incendia\u2019 Ferrara<\/a>)<em>&nbsp;<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The Spanish paper also published an article about the <strong>Coliseum<\/strong> and the decision to rebuild the arena floor to make the monument\u2019s ancient use more comprehensible for tourist (April <em>17 &#8211;&nbsp;<\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/elpais.com\/cultura\/2015\/04\/17\/actualidad\/1429287829_481495.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>El ministro de Cultura italiano: \u201cSe reconstruir\u00e1 la arena del Coliseo\u201d<\/em><\/a><em>). <\/em>Finally,<em>&nbsp;&nbsp;Le Monde <\/em>told its readers the story of the <strong>Faggian Museum<\/strong> of Lecce (April 17 &#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lemonde.fr\/culture\/article\/2015\/04\/16\/en-italie-un-musee-ne-d-une-fuite-d-eau_4617141_3246.html?xtmc=italie&amp;xtcr=54\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">En Italie, un mus\u00e9e n\u00e9 d\u2019une fuite d\u2019eau<\/a>*), the fruit of a lucky, unexpected discovery of ancient artifacts during renovations of a building.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fashion, design, lifestyle<\/strong> \u2013 There were numerous stories about the world of style.
