The <em>Financial Times<\/em> reported on the leap up on the stock market of <strong>Moncler<\/strong> due to higher than expected sales (March 5&nbsp; &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/intl\/cms\/s\/0\/a06b56d0-c341-11e4-ac3d-00144feab7de.html#axzz3TreL6Os9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Moncler shares power ahead as sales beat expectations<\/a>*), and <em>Reuters<\/em> ran pieces on the future of <strong>Borsalino<\/strong> (March 5 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/2015\/03\/05\/borsalino-financing-idUSL5N0W73YM20150305\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Italian hat maker Borsalino looks at options to keep going<\/a>) and <strong>Campari<\/strong>\u2019s reaching its margin goals <strong>Campari <\/strong>(March 10 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/2015\/03\/10\/campari-results-idUSL5N0WC2BU20150310\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Campari hits 2014 gross margin goal as sales rise<\/a>). The British press agency also wrote about the good prospects of another group, <strong>Brembo<\/strong>, producing high end brakes for cars like Ferrari and Porsche (March 5 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/2015\/03\/05\/brembo-results-outlook-idUSL5N0W74ET20150305\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brembo sees 2015 sales growing, looking at M&amp;A<\/a>). Instead, <em>Le Monde<\/em>, while waiting for the yearly report of <strong>Ferragamo<\/strong>, ran a profile of Wanda, the Florentine family\u2019s queen mother and wife of the company founder, Salvatore &nbsp;(March 9 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lemonde.fr\/economie\/article\/2015\/03\/09\/wanda-ferragamo-la-reine-mere_4589711_3234.html?xtmc=italie&amp;xtcr=10\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wanda Ferragamo, la reine m\u00e8re<\/a>*).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Culture<\/strong> \u2013 There was also interest in cultural events. The <em>Financial Times<\/em> announced that post-WWII Italian art is in the spotlight in galleries around the world, with prices rising as a consequence (March 6 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/intl\/cms\/s\/0\/b9699b42-bb4e-11e4-b95c-00144feab7de.html?siteedition=intl#axzz3TreL6Os9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The invasion of Italian art \u2014 from Tefaf to Art Basel Hong Kong<\/a>*). There were also articles on literature. <em>El Pais<\/em> interviewed the writer <strong>Antonella Cilento<\/strong> (March 8 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/cultura.elpais.com\/cultura\/2015\/03\/04\/actualidad\/1425494138_822031.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Antonella Cilento: \u201cLa escritura es como el cerdo, no se tira nada\u201d<\/a>), <em>The Sunday Times<\/em> studied the mystery of <strong>Elena Ferrante<\/strong>, the moniker of an author of great success \u201d (March 8 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thesundaytimes.co.uk\/sto\/culture\/books\/fiction\/article1528682.ece\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The unknown great<\/a>*). and the&nbsp; <em>New York Times<\/em> announced the November publication of the newest book by <strong>Umberto Eco<\/strong> (March 9 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/aponline\/2015\/03\/09\/arts\/ap-us-books-umberto-eco.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New Umberto Eco Novel to Be Released in US in November<\/a>*).&nbsp; For theater, <em>Le Monde<\/em> ran an article on the <strong>Servillo<\/strong> brothers, in France with their play \u201cLa Parola Canta\u201d (March 11 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lemonde.fr\/scenes\/article\/2015\/03\/11\/toni-et-peppe-servillo-l-un-chante-l-autre-aussi_4591198_1654999.html?xtmc=italie&amp;xtcr=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Toni et Peppe Servillo, l\u2019un chante, l\u2019autre aussi<\/a>*). There was also interest in music with <strong>Franco Battiato <\/strong>&nbsp;taking his latest recording on tour to Paris and Barcelona (<em>Liberation<\/em>, March 8&nbsp; &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.liberation.fr\/culture\/2015\/03\/08\/franco-battiato-en-odeur-de-synthes_1216768\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Franco Battiato en odeur de synth\u00e9s<\/a>; <em>El Mundo<\/em>, 10 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elmundo.es\/cultura\/2015\/03\/10\/54fe362722601d73718b456f.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8216;Somos esclavos&#8217;<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tourism<\/strong> \u2013 The foreign press was also full of recommendations for tourist destinations. <em>Les Echos<\/em> turned its attention to the <strong>Expo<\/strong> of Milan, running a profile of Giuseppe Sala, CEO of the company organizing the exhibition (<em>Liberation<\/em>, March 8 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.liberation.fr\/culture\/2015\/03\/08\/franco-battiato-en-odeur-de-synthes_1216768\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Franco Battiato en odeur de synth\u00e9s<\/a>; <em>El Mundo<\/em>, March 10 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elmundo.es\/cultura\/2015\/03\/10\/54fe362722601d73718b456f.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8216;Somos esclavos&#8217;<\/a>). Then, there were more classic ideas. <em>El Pais<\/em> recommended that its readers take a trip on the road throughout the Bel Paese (March &nbsp;6&nbsp; &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/elviajero.elpais.com\/elviajero\/2015\/03\/05\/actualidad\/1425565296_434781.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Italia a toda prisa<\/a>). The <em>Financial Times<\/em> wrote about the renaissance of the Basilicata, thanks to the selection of <strong>Matera<\/strong> as the European capital of culture (March 6 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/intl\/cms\/s\/0\/21705e94-c0c5-11e4-876d-00144feab7de.html#axzz3TreL6Os9%C3%A7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Basilicata\u2019s renaissance<\/a>*), and the <em>New York Times<\/em>, again in Lucania, suggested a visit to <strong>Metaponto <\/strong>(March 6 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/03\/08\/travel\/discovering-the-ruins-of-italys-ionian-coast.html?_r=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Discovering the Ruins of Italy\u2019s Ionian Coast<\/a>*).
