The CEO of <strong>UniCredit<\/strong>, Andrea Nicastro, was optimistic in an interview with <em>Bloomberg <\/em>(February 9 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2015-02-09\/unicredit-s-nicastro-sees-unprecedented-signs-of-italy-recovery\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UniCredit\u2019s Nicastro Sees Unprecedented Signs of Italy Recovery<\/a>), and not only because of the return of profits in his own bank, whose turnover has been helped by domestic recovery (<em>Washington Post<\/em>, February 11 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/business\/unicredit-bank-returns-to-q4-profit-as-italian-market-heals\/2015\/02\/11\/55c3df20-b1f4-11e4-bf39-5560f3918d4b_story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UniCredit bank returns to Q4 profit as Italian market heals<\/a>; <em>Expansion<\/em>, February 11 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.expansion.com\/2015\/02\/11\/empresas\/banca\/1423668569.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UniCredit deja atr\u00e1s los n\u00fameros rojos y gana 2.008 millones en 2014<\/a>). The <em>New York Times<\/em> offered suggestions for readers who wanted to visit some of the more unusual places in Italy (February 6 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/02\/08\/travel\/italy-beyond-the-tourist-traps.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Italy, Beyond the Tourist Traps<\/a>) and the <em>Washington Post<\/em> recommended taking a leap backwards to celebrate the <strong>Carnival of Venice<\/strong> (February 10 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/posttv\/national\/venice-takes-a-step-back-in-time-for-17-day-carnival\/2015\/02\/09\/b49f9c1c-b0a7-11e4-bf39-5560f3918d4b_video.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Venice takes a step back in time for 17-day Carnival<\/a>). The image of Italy as dream destination was in fact well placed in articles in the foreign press. The <em>New York Times<\/em> wrote about Castel San Giuliano in <strong>Umbria<\/strong>, a dilapidated dwelling in need of a buyer looking to turn a dream into reality (February 5 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/02\/06\/greathomesanddestinations\/an-italian-castle-in-need-of-a-rescue.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">An Italian Castle in Need of a Rescue<\/a>); <em>Time<\/em> recommended visiting Casole d&#8217;Elsa in <strong>Toscana<\/strong> to stay in one of the world\u2019s most romantic hotels (February 6 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/time.com\/3695734\/worlds-most-romantic-hotels\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">These Are the World\u2019s Most Romantic Hotels<\/a>); <em>El Mundo <\/em>included <strong>Lake Como<\/strong> in the list of the best location to propose marriage (February 9 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ocholeguas.com\/2015\/02\/09\/otrosmundos\/1423482056.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Los mejores lugares para pedir matrimonio<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Culture, style, taste<\/strong> \u2013 There were other articles about Made in Italy culture, taste, and style. Starting with music, <em>Le Monde<\/em> reported on the tarantellas of <strong>Antonio Castrignano<\/strong> ready to debut in Paris &nbsp;(February 6 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lemonde.fr\/musiques\/article\/2015\/02\/05\/antonio-castrignano-se-pique-de-tarentelle_4570578_1654986.html?xtmc=italie&amp;xtcr=21\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Antonio Castrignano se pique de tarentelle<\/a>*), while the <em>Washington Post<\/em> remembered the pianist <strong>Aldo Ciccolini<\/strong>, master of virtuosity and elegance (February 8 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/entertainment\/music\/aldo-ciccolini-pianist-of-virtuosity-and-elegance-dies-at-89\/2015\/02\/05\/6e0a939a-acb7-11e4-9c91-e9d2f9fde644_story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aldo Ciccolini, pianist of virtuosity and elegance, dies at 89<\/a>). <em>Liberation<\/em> ran a piece on <strong>Walter Bonatti<\/strong>, the legend of mountaineering (9 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.liberation.fr\/voyages\/2015\/02\/09\/bonatti-photographies-des-grands-espaces_1198677\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bonatti, photographies des grands espaces<\/a>) and <em>Le Monde<\/em> informed its readers that Prada has engaged designer and cabinet maker <strong>Martino Gamper<\/strong> to dress its windows (February 6 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lemonde.fr\/m-le-mag\/article\/2015\/02\/06\/martino-gamper-habille-prada_4570372_4500055.html?xtmc=italie&amp;xtcr=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Martino Gamper habille Prada<\/a>*).
