Moreover, the foreign press continued to report on Italian companies, such as <strong>hotel UNA<\/strong>, which has attracted the interest of international investors headed up by Starwood (<em>Wall Street Journal<\/em>, December 30 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/investor-groups-make-offers-for-italian-hotel-chain-una-1419960327?KEYWORDS=italy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Investor Groups Make Offers for Italian Hotel Chain UNA<\/a>*), and the joint-venture in helicopters of <strong>Finmeccanica<\/strong> and the Russian firm Rosneft (<em>Bloomberg<\/em>, December 31 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessweek.com\/news\/2014-12-31\/rosneft-agrees-helicopter-venture-with-italy-s-finmeccanica\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rosneft Agrees Helicopter Venture With Italy\u2019s Finmeccanica<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>There were other articles on large groups like <strong>Enel<\/strong> with an interview to <strong>Patrizia Greco, <\/strong>its first woman CEO and protagonist of change in the country\u2019s culture of management (<em>Financial Times<\/em>, December 28 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/intl\/cms\/s\/0\/ca64d114-7a21-11e4-8958-00144feabdc0.html#axzz3NMVzgR5s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Patrizia Grieco: agent for change in Italy<\/a>*) and the Italian-Argentinian <strong>Techint<\/strong> belonging to the Rocca family, the Latin American country\u2019s largest multinational (<em>El Pais<\/em>, January 4 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/economia.elpais.com\/economia\/2014\/12\/30\/actualidad\/1419955934_679701.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Techint, una \u2018multilatina\u2019 de acero<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Food is the new frontier of Italian luxury goods<\/strong> \u2013 The international press also took a look at the recent operations that have led luxury brands such as Prada and Lvmh to purchase historical Milan pastry shops <strong>Marchesi<\/strong> and <strong>Cova<\/strong>, like the recent attraction of fashion names (<strong>Renzo Rosso<\/strong> and <strong>Brunello Cucinelli<\/strong>) to production of organic foods. It was not only the <em>Financial Times <\/em>that wrote about food as the new frontier of luxury made in Italy (December 23 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/intl\/cms\/s\/0\/e1ec6362-86d6-11e4-982e-00144feabdc0.html?siteedition=intl#axzz3N4SYI0Zc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Food the new frontier for Italian luxury<\/a>*), but also the Braziliano&nbsp; <em>Valor Economico<\/em> (December 29 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.valor.com.br\/empresas\/3837890\/grifes-italianas-investem-em-comida\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Grifes italianas investem em comida<\/a>*) and the Spanish <em>Expansion<\/em> (December 29 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.expansion.com\/2014\/12\/29\/directivos\/1419880976.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">La Italia &#8216;gourmet&#8217; abre el apetito inversor<\/a>). &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><\/em>And if <em>El Pais<\/em> underlined that the growth of exports has turned prosecco into the real enemy of Spanish made bubbly (December 27 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/economia.elpais.com\/economia\/2014\/12\/26\/actualidad\/1419593147_264124.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">El enemigo del cava viene de Italia<\/a>), Italian food processing is also growing in France, where <strong>Lavazza<\/strong> just made an offer of 600 million euro to acquire two local brands (<em>Les Echos<\/em>, January 6 &#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lesechos.fr\/industrie-services\/conso-distribution\/0204059056821-litalien-lavazza-soffre-les-cafes-lor-et-grandmere-1080743.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> L\u2019italien Lavazza s\u2019offre les caf\u00e9s L\u2019Or et Grand\u2019M\u00e8re<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Art and cinema<\/strong>. From the middle ages to Italy\u2019s 18th century. there were numerous articles in the foreign press about current exhibitions in Italy. The British <em>Financial Times<\/em> ran three pieces, the first on a journey to&nbsp; <strong>Venice<\/strong> on the eternal power of religious art through the centuries (December 19 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/intl\/cms\/s\/2\/b3252e36-844e-11e4-bae9-00144feabdc0.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The eternal power of religious art<\/a>*). And <em>El Pa\u00eds <\/em>reported on the art of the famous screen writer <strong>Suso Cecchi d&#8217;Amico<\/strong> (<em>El Pais<\/em>, December 29 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/cultura.elpais.com\/cultura\/2014\/12\/29\/television\/1419879574_751289.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">La guionista<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tourism<\/strong>. The International press also ran a number of pieces on tourist destinations for 2015. <strong>Milan<\/strong>, which is hosting the Expo, is under the reflectors (<em>Washington Post<\/em>, December 26 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/lifestyle\/travel\/destinations-for-2015-milan-cuba-queens-and-more\/2014\/12\/22\/073157d8-8a45-11e4-ace9-47de1af4c3eb_story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Destinations for 2015: Milan, Cuba, Queens and more<\/a>) and it is a city to discover mentioned by <em>Le Monde <\/em>(December 24 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lemonde.fr\/m-styles\/article\/2014\/12\/24\/la-face-cachee-de-milan_4545702_4497319.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">La face cach\u00e9e de Milan<\/a>) and the <em>New York Times<\/em> (January 7 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/01\/11\/travel\/what-to-do-in-36-hours-in-milan.html?_r=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">What to Do in Milan<\/a>*).<\/p>\n<p>In addition, <em>El Pais <\/em>ran an original itinerary to discover Rome, starting from the psycholodilic drawing of Escher being exhibited at the Chiostro del Bramante (December 26 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/cultura.elpais.com\/cultura\/2014\/12\/26\/babelia\/1419612481_576277.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">No basta una vida<\/a>), while the Brazilian <em>O Globo<\/em> advises its readers on the best sky slopes in Italy \u201d (December 29 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/ela.oglobo.globo.com\/blogs\/milao\/posts\/2014\/12\/29\/confira-as-melhores-pistas-para-esquiar-na-italia-557727.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Confira as melhores pistas para esquiar na It\u00e1lia<\/a>).
