Monitoring of the scientific press (including <em>Science<\/em>, <em>The Lancet<\/em> and various journals of the <em>Nature<\/em> group) revealed that 82 studies conducted by Italian laboratories were published between the beginning of July and the end of August. Of these, 25 focused on research into cancer, with related articles appearing in the pages of <em>Leukemia<\/em>, <em>Oncogene<\/em>, <em>The Lancet Oncology<\/em>, the <em>British Journal of Cancer<\/em>, and <em>Cell Death &amp; Disease<\/em>, involving the work of 221 researchers across 25 Italian research centers.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of Italian contributions in the field of applied chemistry, readers\u2019 attention is drawn to the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspeninstitute.it\/pin\/opere-darte-e-nuovi-007-intervista-francesca-casadio\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> interview with Francesca Casadio<\/a>, Andrew W. Mellon Senior Conservation Scientist at the Art Institute of Chicago, where in 2003 she established an art conservation science laboratory that she continues to head.
