Investments in Italy<\/strong> \u2013 International investors \u2013 and the foreign press \u2013 are still focusing on Italy. They wrote about the ongoing success of the sale of Italian bonds (Bloomberg Businessweek<\/em>, (July 8 – Italian Bonds Sell Off as German Bunds Rally Amid EU Reform Spat<\/a>), and investment funds that, according to data from the European Association of Private Equity, are showing interest in Southern European, including Italy (El Mundo<\/em>, (July 7 – El sur de Europa, a la cola como destino de los fondos de inversi\u00f3n<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Italy was also chosen as destination market by investors in industry. This, for example, is the case of Telefonica, which is investing 100 million euro to buy 11% of Mediaset Premiun<\/strong> (July 7 suEl Mundo<\/em> – Telef\u00f3nica compra un 11% de la televisi\u00f3n de pago de Mediaset en Italia<\/a>; Expansion<\/em> – Telef\u00f3nica compra un 11% de la televisi\u00f3n de pago de Mediaset por 100 millones<\/a>; Valor Economico<\/em> –Telef\u00f3nica paga 100 milh\u00f5es de euros para ter 11% de TV paga italiana<\/a>*). It is also the case of the Spanish Audez Energia, which has invested in its own growth on the Italian market (Expansion<\/em>, (July 8 – Audax Energ\u00eda desembarca en Italia con la compra de Big Energia<\/a>).<\/p>\n

There have been similar signals of trust from National operators. Reuters<\/em> reported that the eco-friendly leather firm Favini<\/strong> is planning an IPO on the Milan stock Exchange, with plans for international growth in the luxury market ((July 4 – Eco-leather maker Favini files for Italy listing<\/a>), and the general director of the Italian Bankers Association, Giovanni Sabatini<\/strong>, interviews by Bloomberg<\/em>, gave assurances on the solidity of Italian banks in the face of European stress tests ((July 4 –Italy Banks Seen Able to Fill Potential Capital Gap<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The dream of car manufacturers<\/strong> \u2013 Last week the foreign press also ran articles on the automotive industry. The Wall Street Journal<\/em> wrote about the coming listing of Fiat-Chrysler <\/strong>stocks ((July 4 – Fiat Chrysler To List 750.5 Million Shares on the NYSE<\/a>*) and the new models of the Cavallino Rampante, with a review of LaFerrari<\/strong>, a million dollar dream ((July 4 –LaFerrari Is a Million-Dollar Dream<\/a>). And, reported the American paper, the Maranello- based carmaker is also organizing driving lessons in the Fioano racetrack for those who can afford the cars ((July 4 – Learning to Drive a Ferrari<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Culture, tourism and life & style<\/strong> \u2013 There were also articles on culture, tourism and life & style. Bloomberg<\/em> announced the commemoration of the hundred anniversary of the beginning of World War I with a Requiem directed by Riccardo Muti<\/strong> ((July 6 – Muti conducts ‘Requiem’ for WWI 100th anniversary<\/a>). And The Times<\/em> suggested a class excursion to Sorrento<\/strong> with breathtaking views and incredible food ((July 5 – Gateway to Italy: Sorrento<\/a>). Finally El Mundo<\/em> published an interview with Lapo Elkann about the latest collection of glasses by Italia Independent<\/strong> presented in Paris ((July 7 – Lapo Elkann: ‘Para m\u00ed no hay nada imposible’<\/a>).<\/p>\n
