According to the foreign press, the emirate\u2019s financial agency is to play a role in the spin-off of <strong>Telecom Italia<\/strong>&nbsp; (June 30 in the <em>Financial Times <\/em>&#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/intl\/cms\/s\/0\/6d5be8ec-dfe3-11e2-bf9d-00144feab7de.html#axzz2XlxZHN2x\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Telecom Italia in talks with Qatari funds over stake in spin-off<\/a>* and <em>Valor Econ\u00f3mico<\/em> &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.valor.com.br\/empresas\/3179984\/telecom-italia-negocia-rede-fixa#ixzz2Xm24hPYb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Telecom Italia negocia rede fixa<\/a>).<br \/>And there was also an enthusiastic market response to the latest listing on the Milan stock exchange, albeit the smaller AIM index. Prices for <strong>Italia Independent<\/strong>, founded by Lapo Elkann, soared after its debut (<em>Financial Times<\/em>, June 29 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/intl\/cms\/s\/2\/4b0e57b2-dff6-11e2-9de6-00144feab7de.html#axzz2XlxZHN2x\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Italia Independent shares surge on Milan debut<\/a>*).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Homage to Federico Fellini<\/strong> \u2013 It has been twenty years since the death of Federico Fellini and there are a growing number of tributes to the Italian director and his carnival of images. The Spanish <em>El Pais<\/em> published a video gallery (July 2 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/cultura.elpais.com\/cultura\/2013\/07\/02\/actualidad\/1372754687_902728.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Siete grandes de Fellini, en v\u00eddeo<\/a>) and visited the exhibit at the Amersterdam Museum of Cinema (July 1 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/cultura.elpais.com\/cultura\/2013\/07\/01\/actualidad\/1372704531_512500.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Federico Fellini o el carnaval de la imagen<\/a>).<br \/>There was also a tribute to the director of \u201cLa Dolce Vita\u201d by colleague <strong>Ettore Scola<\/strong> who, as <em>O Globo<\/em> explained, has returned to the set to film \u201cChe strano chiamarsi Federico\u201d (How Odd to Be Called Federico). The <em>Wall Street Journal<\/em> traveled to Indonesia to write about the Asian success of Italian designer <strong>Valentina Audrito<\/strong> (July 5 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/online.wsj.com\/article\/SB10001424127887324688404578545320662467336.html?KEYWORDS=italy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Offbeat in Indonesia<\/a>), and the <em>New York Times<\/em> indulged its passion for the Amalfi coast with a new article about vacationing in <strong>Ravello<\/strong> (July 5 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2013\/07\/05\/greathomesanddestinations\/05iht-reravello05.html?_r=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Renovation With a View of the Amalfi Coa<\/a>st).
