According to the <em>Wall Street Journal<\/em>, that<em> <\/em>&nbsp;is true for <strong>Prada<\/strong>, which saw income grow by 14% in the first quarter, making it one of the groups with the highest growth <strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>(June11&nbsp; &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/online.wsj.com\/article\/SB10001424127887323495604578539350646857798.html?KEYWORDS=prada\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Prada Sales Show Double-Digit Growth<\/a>). Another center of excellence in Italian industry, <strong>Ferrari<\/strong>, is also in good health. Rachel Sanderson in Maranello reported in the <em>Financial Times<\/em> that the carmaker is not only growing but also plans to cut back on production to increase the flame-red sports car;s exclusivity (June 11 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/intl\/cms\/s\/0\/d700b4be-d0f0-11e2-a3ea-00144feab7de.html#slide0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ferrari repositions for a one-horse race in ultra-luxury stakes<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Italian business in the world \u2013 <\/strong>The foreign press also turned its attention to the domestic and international affairs of the large Italian groups. The <em>Financial Times<\/em> and <em>Les Echos<\/em> reported on <strong>Generali<\/strong>, which is continuing its divestiture plans to strengthen liquidity and capital position and \u2013 with its latest sale in Mexico &#8211; with a capital gain of 500 million euro (June 11 \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/intl\/cms\/s\/0\/32bda796-d2ac-11e2-aac2-00144feab7de.html#axzz2VzZrQNxi\">G<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/intl\/cms\/s\/0\/32bda796-d2ac-11e2-aac2-00144feab7de.html#axzz2VzZrQNxi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">enerali sells stake in Mexico\u2019s Banorte<\/a> *;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lesechos.fr\/entreprises-secteurs\/finance-marches\/actu\/0202821655187-generali-vend-ses-participations-au-mexique-pour-649-millions-d-euros-574562.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Generali vend ses participations au Msvm1000@hotmail.comexique pour 649 millions d\u2019euros<\/a>). Findally,&nbsp; the <em>Financial Times<\/em> wrote about <strong>Enel<\/strong>\u2019s new 3 billion euro bond launch euro (June 9 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/intl\/cms\/s\/0\/9f431d8c-d0dc-11e2-a3ea-00144feab7de.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Enel in \u20ac3bn hybrid bond launch<\/a> *) and &#8211; for its \u201cWomen in Business\u201d series &#8211; interviewed <strong>Paola Dubini<\/strong>, professor at SDA Bocconi, one of the founders of the Interuniversity Centre for Gender Cultures (June 9 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/intl\/cms\/s\/2\/0688a662-cd39-11e2-90e8-00144feab7de.html#axzz2VnSY6mdK\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Women at Business School &#8211; Paola Dubini<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Italian travels<\/strong> \u2013 Summer is here and there was a surge of articles in the foreign press on destinations in the Bel Paese. <em>Gulf New<\/em>s picke up a <em>Guardian<\/em> article on the increase number of British tourists in Sicily. The reason is apparently the success of the Italian TV series on Police Commission Montalbano now being broadcast by BBC (June &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/gulfnews.com\/business\/tourism\/an-inspector-calls-british-tourists-go-on-trail-of-montalbano-1.1195669\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">An inspector calls: British tourists go on trail of Montalban<\/a>o). The <em>New York Times<\/em> gave advice for a weekend in <strong>Verona<\/strong> (June 8 &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/travel.nytimes.com\/2013\/06\/09\/travel\/36-hours-in-verona-italy.html?pagewanted=all\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">36 Hours in Verona, Italy<\/a>), but one of the most frequently mentioned cities was <strong>Rimini<\/strong>.
