Spanish papers were interested (<em>Expansion,&nbsp;<\/em>May 30 &#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.expansion.com\/2013\/05\/30\/empresas\/tmt\/1369932212.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Telecom Italia convertir\u00e1 su red de telefon\u00eda fija en una nueva compa\u00f1\u00eda<\/a>) in the role of Telefonica in the spin-off as well as other major papers internazionali&nbsp; (May 30 and 31 in&nbsp;<em>O Globo<\/em>&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/oglobo.globo.com\/tecnologia\/telecom-italia-da-primeiro-passo-para-cisao-de-rede-8545959\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Telecom Italia d\u00e1 primeiro passo para cis\u00e3o de rede<\/a>;&nbsp;<em>Financial Times<\/em>&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/intl\/cms\/s\/0\/64814068-c941-11e2-bb56-00144feab7de.html#axzz2UqxHrCqL\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Telecom Italia agrees to separate fixed-line network<\/a>*;&nbsp;<em>Wall Street Journal<\/em>&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/online.wsj.com\/article\/SB10001424127887324866904578515451136285848.html?KEYWORDS=italy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Telecom Italia to Split Off Network Unit<\/a>*). <em>WSJ<\/em> also ran an article on the role of di&nbsp;<strong>Cassa Depositi e Prestiti <\/strong>in the operation, going over all the recent transactions in which this public company has been involved (<em>Wall Street Journal<\/em>, May 30 &#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/online.wsj.com\/article\/SB10001424127887324682204578515301132515948.html?KEYWORDS=italy&amp;cb=logged0.36169125442440975\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&nbsp;A Different Kind of Italian Job<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cars and luxury goods: Italy in the world<\/strong> \u2013 The internationalization of Italian groups continues to attract the attention of international papers. They wrote about the traditional luxury sector and <strong>Loro Piana,<\/strong> which has confirmed its leadership in the high quality textile sector gamma (<em>Le Figaro,&nbsp;<\/em>27 maggio &#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lefigaro.fr\/societes\/2013\/05\/27\/20005-20130527ARTFIG00442-loro-piana-le-groupe-de-luxe-italien-qui-defie-la-crise.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Loro Piana, le groupe de luxe italien qui d\u00e9fie la cris<\/a>) while there were also several articles on the progress of the <strong>Fiat-Chrysler <\/strong>merger. <em>Bloomberg Businessweek<\/em> reported on the financial structure of the operation (May 29 &#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessweek.com\/news\/2013-05-29\/fiat-said-to-ready-10-billion-in-financing-for-chrysler\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&nbsp;Fiat Said to Ready $10 Billion in Financing for Chrysler<\/a>),&nbsp; while the <em>Financial Times<\/em> clarifies the Agnelli family\u2019s intention to remain the group\u2019s majority shareholder (May 30 &#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/intl\/cms\/s\/0\/beb311a4-c92a-11e2-9d2a-00144feab7de.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Agnelli family aims to remain Fiat\u2019s largest shareholder<\/a>*). Finally, cars and luxury are combines in <strong>Ferrari<\/strong> which, according to <em>Bloomberg Businessweek<\/em>, is ready to reduce production to increase its models\u2019 exclusivity (May 30&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessweek.com\/articles\/2013-05-30\/ferrari-cuts-sports-car-production-to-enhance-exclusivity\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ferrari Cuts Sports Car Production to Enhance Exclusivity<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Culture, cuisine and tourism<\/strong>. The opening of the 55th <strong>Venice Biennale <\/strong>was the subject of a number of articles in the foreign press. The papers that reported on the exposition\u2019s \u201cPalazzo Enciclopedico\u201d&nbsp; included <em>El Mundo<\/em> (photo gallery on May 29 &#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.elmundo.es\/albumes\/2013\/05\/29\/bienal_de_venecia\/index.html%20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arranca la 55 Bienal de Venecia, un &#8216;Palacio Enciclop\u00e9dico&#8217;<\/a>), the Mexican <em>El Universal<\/em>&nbsp;(May 29 &#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.eluniversal.com.mx\/cultura\/71916.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">88 pabellones y 47 muestras de arte<\/a>) and&nbsp;<em>China Daily<\/em>, which underlined that in this edition, China is presenting the largest collateral collection of the event (Ma 31 &#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.chinadaily.com.cn\/cndy\/2013-05\/31\/content_16549977.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">No longer unseen voices at Venice Biennale<\/a>).<em><br \/>El Pais <\/em>was also in Venice to discuss the restoration of the Rialto  Bridge (May 27 &#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/cultura.elpais.com\/cultura\/2013\/05\/27\/actualidad\/1369684687_904927.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cirug\u00eda para el puente de Rialto<\/a>), while in its travel supplement, the Spanish paper went to Corleone to visit some of the lesser known corners of <strong>Sicily<\/strong> (May 30 &#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/elviajero.elpais.com\/elviajero\/2013\/05\/30\/actualidad\/1369917211_798100.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paseo por Corleone<\/a>). The German paper&nbsp;<em>Sueddeutsche Zeitung<\/em> published to Baroque architecture (May 27 .<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sueddeutsche.de\/reise\/suedosten-von-sizilien-barocke-staedtepracht-1.1681855-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S\u00fcdosten von Sizilien &#8211; Barocke St\u00e4dtepracht<\/a>).
