Investors turned to Italy<\/strong> \u2013 Investor sentiment drove the latest sales of Italian public debt. That was the reaction of the foreign press to the results of the November 29 auction of Italian treasury bonds whose interest rate reached the lowest level since 2010 (Financial Times<\/em> – Investor sentiment boosts Italian bonds <\/a>*; Wall Street Journal<\/em> – Investors Warm to Spanish, Italian Debt<\/a> *; Washington Post<\/em> – Italy easily raises 6 bln euros from bond sale at lowest interest rates since 2010<\/a>). And if the Spanish Expansion<\/em> predicted a happy ending to sovereign debt tensions (November 30 – \u00bfUn final feliz para los bonos de la eurozona?<\/a>), the merit goes to the reforms. According to Le Monde<\/em>, they could very well be a model to export to France, where the government is seeking a solution to the growing unemployment (November 27 – March\u00e9 du travail : Paris regarde l\u2019exemple italien<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Made in Italy in the world<\/strong> \u2013 Once again, the foreign press turned the spotlight on the expansion of Italian business. Le Figaro<\/em> and Wall Street Journal<\/em> reported on fashion, especially Loro Piana<\/strong>, growing fast in China, and Moncler<\/strong> which, after the success of its jacket line, seems destined to become a global phenomenon \u201d (November 29 – L\u2019italien Loro Piana vend son cachemire aux Chinois<\/a> *; November 29 – Moncler Moves Beyond Jackets<\/a>; ). Finally, Brasil Economico<\/em> reported on the growth of Technogym in Latin America (November 28 – Fabricante italiana de equipamento de gin\u00e1stica anuncia unidade no Brasil<\/a> *).<\/p>\n

Center-left chooses leader<\/strong> \u2013 Finally, the foreign press turned its attention to the center-left primary election. The five-candidate list that lead to a run-off between Pierluigi Bersani<\/strong> and Matteo Renzi<\/strong> was reported in the major papers and news agencies of the United Kingdom (The Economist<\/em>, November 30 – Italian politics: Left in front<\/a> ; Reuters<\/em>, November 24 –  Italy center-left to pick candidate for next prime minister<\/a>; Financial Times<\/em>, November 25 – Run-off looms in Italy\u2019s centre-left vote <\/a>* ), as well as France (Le Monde<\/em>, 25 novembre- L\u2019italie se passionne pour la primaire \u00e0 gauche avant les \u00e9lections g\u00e9n\u00e9rales<\/a>), Spain (El Mundo<\/em>, November 25 – Se busca l\u00edder de la izquierda italiana<\/a>) and Portugal (Publico<\/em>, November 25, –  Esquerda italiana escolhe candidato \u00e0s elei\u00e7\u00f5es de 2013<\/a>).<\/p>\n
