{"id":49299,"date":"2012-03-27T14:59:07","date_gmt":"2012-03-27T12:59:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aspeninstitute.it\/aspen-institute-italia-seminars\/"},"modified":"2026-04-22T11:49:20","modified_gmt":"2026-04-22T09:49:20","slug":"aspen-institute-italia-seminars","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.aspeninstitute.it\/en\/aspen-institute-italia-seminars\/","title":{"rendered":"Aspen Institute Italia Seminars"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-image wp-image-108672 size-medium\">\n<figure class=\"alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"266\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aspeninstitute.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/presutti-266x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-108672\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.aspeninstitute.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/presutti-266x300.jpg 266w, https:\/\/www.aspeninstitute.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/presutti.jpg 767w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 266px) 100vw, 266px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Ennio Presutti, co-founder and former Deputy Chair and Treasurer <br>of Aspen Institute Italia <br>and Chair of the Friends of Aspen<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The Aspen Seminars on Values and Society, inspired by the traditional and much-acclaimed program of The Aspen Institute in the United States that has been a cornerstone of its activities since the early 1950s, were first held in Italy <strong>in memory of Ennio Presutti<\/strong> in 2007.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Institute has expanded its progam in recent years and currently organizes three different Aspen Institute Italia Seminars:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspeninstitute.it\/en\/aspen-institute-italia-seminar-values-and-society-0\/\">Aspen Institute Italia Seminar on Values and Society<\/a>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspeninstitute.it\/en\/aspen-institute-italia-seminar-leadership-globalization-and-quest-common-values-0\/\">Aspen Institute Italia Seminar on Leadership, Globalization and the Quest for Common Values<\/a>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspeninstitute.it\/en\/aspen-institute-italia-seminar-enlightenment-and-transatlantic-link-common-roots-and-todays-challen-0\/\">Aspen Institute Italia Seminar &#8220;The Enlightenment and the Transatlantic Link: Common Roots and Today&#8217;s Challenges&#8221;<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the above, the <a href=\"https:\/\/aspenforeurope.org\">Aspen Initiative for Europe<\/a>, Aspen Institute Italia and <a href=\"https:\/\/aspeninstitute.es\">Aspen Institute Espa\u00f1a<\/a> also organized an Aspen Initiative for Europe Seminar entitled <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspeninstitute.it\/en\/attivita\/europe-next-generation-shared-values-2\/\">&#8220;Europe: the Next Generation, Shared Values&#8221;<\/a> in 2017, dedicating it to younger Europeans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each of these events comprises approximately 25 highly qualified individuals from Italy and other parts of the world, who debate the great universal values and their relevance to today&#8217;s current affairs by analyzing and discussing a series of works by both classical and contemporary authors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Discussions are significantly enriched by the diverse geographic, personal and professional backgrounds of participants.
